Mystic River Film

One well-respected figure in Hollywood is Clint Eastwood. Beginning from the spaghetti western film actor, Clint finally managed to reach the peak of his career as a filmmaker quality, not only from the commercial side, but also the art side. One of the homemade movies are done Clint's Mystic River in 2003 was even able to reach several Oscar nominations and make the main actors and supporting actors are Sean Penn and Tim Robbins got an Oscar.

It started in Boston in 1975, three boys, Jimmy Markum, Sean Devine and Dave Boyle were engrossed in play when Dave was abducted by a man wearing police clothing. He was taken to the woods and sexually harassed by the police and his friend who turned out to pedophiles for a few days. Although Dave managed to escape, but the trauma of sexual abuse was still haunted him until his adult life.

Years later, Dave (Tim Robbins) who has grown up and working as a family is lower class, while Sean (Kevin Bacon) works as a policeman while Jimmy (Sean Penn), a former inmate who now runs a shop. Katie (Emmy Rossum), the daughter of Jimmy's plan to elope with her boyfriend, Brendan Harris (Thomas Guiry), a man who does not like Jimmy. But before the plan was done, she killed a person in one night.

On the same night when Katie was killed, Dave returned to his home in injured condition. To Celeste (Marcia Gay Hayden), his wife, Dave claims to fight with a mugger. On the other hand, the police are dealing with Katie's murder case was none other than Sean is a detective with the Massachusetts State Police along with his partner, Sergeant Whitey Powers (Laurence Fishburne). At first Brendan Sean and Whitey are suspected perpetrator because the gun used to kill Katie's father belonged to Brendan.
